Description

This recording provides a continuous stream of spontaneous drumming. It is meant to soothe the soul or stir it into action. Zenju Sensei studied Congolese rhythms on the Ngoma (pictured) for many years with Yolanda S Vierra Allen and Claudia Vierra Allen. Together with Simbwala Schultz they created Sistahs of the Drum in 2001. The group was passed on and has grown over the years with new drum medicine women of African descent.
