Nuns from Korean Zen temples visited San Francisco Zen Center during my stay there. The above picture is not them but wanted to share the beautiful chanting they offered us one morning. Click the play button below. Enjoy the sounds of the Heart Sutra.
I had left Nicherin Buddhism over 30 years ago, then went to t Hare Krishna path for 10 years, now I find myself back chanting Nam myoho renge kyo because of mental n physical pain n it is helping me with more grounding, but I do not wish to get into that organizational structure, but want to find s Buddhist path that do that chant n also meditate. Any suggestions? Also I am now reading your book “Tell me something about Buddhism”, which I think is ironic, now that I started back chanting. I love Buddhism for its compassion, psychology. I did find a nonsectarian site called Brightdawn recently to see if this is t way for me, they incorporate some Buddhist teachings together. Oh I am like u in a way, did come from a Christian background, n also three years ago was trying to do t Youruba religion, but got lost along t way, I did not read up on it before contact, so things got bad in a way n there r so many difficult things in knowing Ifa that I question myself about going deep, but I did have a few good contact from t ancestors. My energy is Oshun, hope u know what this means, if not it is okay.
Keep chanting! And guess what? Oshun is with me.
The chanting bring me peace… love it so much!
